My interests lie in surface texture, glaze materials and kiln firings. I like to experiment and to look for new and interesting combinations.
My pieces are sometimes thrown, but more recently I have been using the pinching technique. This is a very intuitive and relaxing technique which gives flowing organic forms.
I qualified in Ceramics and Education and in 1994 from Canterbury Christ Church College. Since that time I have taught in a variety of secondary schools while continuing to progress my work, I regularly exhibit in galleries, craft fairs and ceramics fairs.
I currently teach Ceramics and Fine Art at West Herts College.
